The fake books on this page are randomly generated using Groan, a simple grammar-based text generator written in Javascript. The titles, author names and blurbs are each generated by a different grammar. The result is then displayed on a randomly-selected background. Custom Javascript is used to manage the generation and interactivity, but the example uses the same Groan library class as the other examples in this section.

Click on the book cover to generate a new title and text. If you are using a computer (rather than a mobile device like a phone or tablet), you can move your mouse over the book to switch between the front and back covers of the book.

The images used as backgrounds are from Bytescapes.
